Aggies Pick Up Big Road Win, 79-67

Goodwell, Okla. - The Oklahoma Panhandle State men’s basketball team was in Denver on Saturday and defeated Johnson & Wales University, 79-67. The Aggies lit up the scoreboard with 55 points in the second half on their way to their second victory of the season.
Johnson & Wales led at the halftime break, 26-24, but the Aggies came out with fire in the closing half, shooting 64% from the field.
Luke Ogden, OPSU forward, led all scorers with 20 points. The solid sophomore from Perryton, Texas also had six rebounds, three steals and blocked a shot. LaChawn Anderson added 19 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals.
OPSU’s Will Stephenson scored four points, and led his team with eight rebounds and three blocks. Guard E. J. Ollison put in a dozen points and handed out four assists while Fred Durr added nine points and six rebounds. Scott Hilton added eight points, three assists and three steals while teammate Chuck Salisbury chipped in seven points and snared three rebounds.
The Aggies, now 2-7, will get a few days off for family time at Christmas then head northwest for a December 30th game with Montana State-Billings.
