Olson Disappointed in Lady Aggie Loss

Goodwell, OK – OPSU women’s basketball coach Jerry Olson was quite clear in his post game comments after the Lady Aggies’ 89-59 loss to Air Force on Tuesday night - “I am very disappointed in our performance.”

The Lady Aggies traveled to Colorado Springs and took on their Division I foe on the Air Force Academy campus.

Olson added that he felt the high altitude got to the Lady Aggies at the outset of the game and they could not keep up with their opponents, who held a 50-20 advantage at the end of the first half.

Brandi Lewis led the Lady Aggies with 15 points, while Diana Garduno and Nina Kuleff each added ten. Kuleff also had a game high 12 rebounds.

Though Olson spoke highly of the play and the effort of Laura Wilson, who scored eight points, the veteran coach was highly critical of the team’s overall effort and performance. “We have to get better, we have to play harder, and we cannot give up,” he added.
