OPSU’s Kuleff Receives
More Conference Honors
by Scott Puryear of Aggie Sports on 02/07/06
Goodwell, OK - Over the past few weeks, the Lady Aggies
of Oklahoma Panhandle State have been one of the most productive
women’s basketball teams in the Southwest, winning seven
straight games and challenging for the Heartland Conference
title.
One player who is largely responsible for the hot streak is
center Nina Kuleff, and for the second consecutive week the
junior from Phoenix has been named conference Player of the
Week.
Last weekend, in the two Lady Aggie wins over Western New
Mexico, Kuleff averaged 20.5 points and 13 rebounds. On the
season, the six-footer leads the Lady Aggies in both scoring
and rebounding. Her 14.3 points per game is fourth in the conference,
and her 9.3 rebounds per game is the league’s best.
Kuleff and the rest of the Lady Aggies will be on the road
to San Antonio this week looking to extend their winning streak
against Incarnate Word on Thursday and St. Mary’s on
Saturday.
