20 More Football Players to Join OPSU

GOODWELL, Okla. - Oklahoma
Panhandle State football coach Kyle Davis has announced
that 20 more excellent prospects will be joining the Aggies
for the 2006 season. The new commitments bring the total
number of recruits to 46.
The newest Aggies include:
Jacob Arthur (Offensive Line; Oklahoma
City) – Arthur
has good feet and good size and may see action on either
side of the ball.
Ryan Brock (Kicker; Bethany, OK) - Second in the state in
points scored, Brock did not miss an extra point and went
18 of 19 on field goals, including a 54-yarder.
Derek Burch (Linebacker; Oklahoma City) – Burch
is a playmaker and a sure tackler who causes turnovers.
Scott Burdge (Offensive Line; Texhoma, OK) - Burdge is a
good prospect who should compete for playing time.
Austin Cleland (Offensive Line; Alvine,
TX) – A standout
center, Cleland should make a solid contribution.
Nathan Edwards (Wide Receiver; Okmulgee,
OK) – Edwards
is a sure-handed receiver with good speed.
Matt Eisert (Offensive Line; Putnam
City, OK) – Eisert
will add depth to an already strong “O Line.”
Tyler Hamilton (Linebacker; Midwest
City, OK) – A
strong sideline to sideline playmaker, Hamilton should be
a great addition to the Aggie defense.
Cody Hargis (Wide Receiver; Oklahoma
City) – Hargis
is a top overall athlete who may see action as a quarterback,
receiver, or defensive back.
Eric Holt (Running Back; Tucumcari,
NM) – Holt was
the MVP of New Mexico’s state runner-up team and will
go at slot back for the Aggies.
Erik McCarrol (Linebacker; Midwest
City, OK) – McCarrol
is a tough young player who can go at either linebacker or
fullback.
Josh Mills (Defensive Line; Coffeyville,
KS) – A
motivated player from Coffeyville Community College,
Mills should be ready to go immediately.
Okley Munson (Defensive Back; Highland,
UT) – Munson
is a motivated young player with a good attitude and is also
an outstanding student.
Justin Red (Defensive Back; Palo Duro,
TX) – Red brings
good speed and excellent cover skills to the OPSU defense.
Author Render (Defensive Back; Miami,
FL) – Render
is a hard hitter with the ability to be an impact player
for the Aggies.
Edward Rucker (Running Back; Oklahoma
City) – A very
capable fullback, Rucker plays very hard.
DeAngelo Stephany (Defensive Line;
Oklahoma City) – Stephany’s
presence on the defensive side of the ball will help immediately.
Tyler Tate (Linebacker; Okmulgee, OK) – Tate
is an aggressive player with strong pass coverage ability.
Eddie Terrazas (Running Back; Oklahoma
City) – Terrazas
is a very capable fullback who should compete for playing
time right away.
Conrad Waters (Offensive Line; Oklahoma
City) – Waters
is a great pickup for the Aggies and moves very well for
a big man.
Things are pointing in the direction of major excitement
from OPSU football in the coming fall.
