Aggies Hold Spirited Saturday Scrimmage
-by Scott Puryear of Aggie Sports 08-23-06
Goodwell, OK - Around ninety Oklahoma Panhandle State
University football players were in high gear in last
Saturday’s scrimmage. Spirits were high, the
hitting was hard, and there were several big plays
and big hits.
Second year head coach Kyle Davis liked what he saw
on both the offensive and defensive sides of the
ball and singled out the performance of Brandon Warner,
a sophomore from Liberal, Kansas who was the starting
quarterback last season.
The Aggies, who open at home on September 2 against
Emporia State, will hold another “open-to-the-public” scrimmage
this coming Saturday at 11:00 am at Carl Wooten
Field in on the OPSU campus.
