Goodwell, OK – The state of Oklahoma’s first college football game of the 2005 season should be a good one as Oklahoma Panhandle State travels to Southwestern Oklahoma State on Thursday night.

The Aggies were 6-5 last year under head coach Ryan Held, and SWOSU was 1-10. Held is now the head coach at Southwestern and Kyle Davis is now running the Aggie program.

Several key players return from last season for both teams, and each coaching staff appears to have a solid group of recruits.

The Aggies topped Southwestern last year (in Goodwell), 21-7.

Game time in Weatherford is 7:00 p.m. and of the many talented Aggies taking the field for their opening game, one will be Jeborric Evans. The 6’0 and 200-pound senior safety was an All-America selection last season by the College Sports Report, and has been named All-Independent Football Alliance in each of the last three years.

Football spirits are high at OPSU and at Southwestern. It should be everything college football has to offer.
