**For Immediate Release**
OPSU vs. Southern Nazarene – Should
Be a Good One!
by Aggie Sports on 9/8/05
Goodwell, OK - The match-up between the Oklahoma Panhandle
State Aggies and the Crimson Storm of Southern Nazarene
should make for an excellent college football game on Saturday.
It will be the Aggies’ annual Homecoming game and
they’ll be after their first victory of the season.
Southern Nazarene will also be seeking their first win
of the year.
The Crimson Storm have played both of their games on the
road and lost to a pair of very good teams (Graceland,
24-20 and Angelo State, 42-7).
The Aggies, also 0-2, have played two rugged road games
as well. In their opener, they suffered a loss to Southwestern
Oklahoma State, thanks to a field goal with two seconds
left on the clock. Last week, they lost a 63-7 contest
to the extremely tough Minnesota State after traveling
nearly 700 miles (one way) by bus for the game.
The Aggies have beaten Southern Nazarene in each of the
last two years. The Crimson Storm were 6-4 last season
and OPSU was 6-5.
Spirits remain high with the Aggies, whose schedule is
considerably tougher this season than last. They have added
three top notch teams to their schedule including Pittsburg
State, Texas State and the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Not only must they travel many miles to play these teams,
they also did not have the shot to play them at home last
year. Their home schedule is no pushover either, as they
play the defending Lone Star Conference (North Division)
Champion – Southeastern Oklahoma State, as well as
Truman State (who defeated a ranked opponent in their season
opening game).
The OPSU-Crimson Storm game begins at 3:00 on Saturday
afternoon and football fans not able to get to campus can
catch all the action live from KGYN via internet broadcast.

It should be a lot of fun in Goodwell on Saturday.
