Goodwell, Okla. — On Saturday, the Aggies of Oklahoma Panhandle State University traveled to Golden, Colorado and played the Orediggers of Colorado School of Mines in a college football matchup. The Orediggers picked up the win, 69-0.
The Orediggers used a solid running attack led by Bryan Florendo’s 222 yards rushing and three touchdowns.
The Aggies trailed 34-0 at the halftime break.
Steve Boone led the Aggies in rushing with 25 yards on seven tries and Craig Maynard led OPSU in the passing department with four completions in eight attempts for 61 yards. Steve Jackson led Aggie receivers with a pair of catches good for a total of 43 yards (including a nice 23-yard reception on a pass from Maynard).
OPSU’s rugged middle linebacker, Ranoaldo Davis, continues his quest for a 100 tackle season. The six-foot, 250-pound senior from Kansas City, Kansas was in on thirteen of them Saturday, giving him a total of 41 in the Aggies’ four games.
The Aggies (0-4) will be back at home next Saturday against the Rangers of Northwestern Oklahoma State (2-3). Kick-off is set for 1:00 p.m.
