Goodwell, OK - The Oklahoma Panhandle State Aggies fell to the Pittsburg State Gorillas 70-0 on Saturday in Pittsburg, Kansas. The Gorillas’ gifted running back, Germaine Race, scored three touchdowns in the first half to lead his team to a 42-0 lead over the Aggies at the intermission.

Pittsburg State, who entered the game as the 20th ranked team in the country in NCAA Division II, continued their solid play on both sides of the ball in the second half and increased their lead to 63-0 at the end of the third period. They picked up another seven points in the final quarter to end the scoring at 70-0 and up their record to 5-2. Rice ended the day with 111 yards on 13 carries and four TDs.

The Aggies (now 1-6) were led offensively by David Daniels’ 69 yards in 23 carries. On defense, Kendrick Bevil was in on a dozen tackles and Gary Hendricks recorded a sack.

OPSU will continue with their rugged road schedule next week as they face another nationally ranked opponent, Texas State in San Marcos.
