Aggies Face Nationally Ranked Texas
State Saturday Night

Goodwell, OK- This Saturday, and for the first time this
season, the Oklahoma Panhandle State football team will
venture “Deep in the Heart of Texas.” The Aggies
will go head to head with Texas State-San Marcos, a nationally
ranked NCAA Division I-AA team.
A featured player for Texas State is quarterback Barrick
Neely. A senior, the 6’5” and 230-pounder has
been mentioned as a top contender for this year’s
Walter Payton Award, the DI-AA equivalent of the Heisman
Trophy.
OPSU competes as part of NCAA Division II.
Aggie fans not making the trip San Marcos for the game
can listen to all the action live from KGYN via internet
broadcast. Log on to www.opsu.edu, and click on athletics
to find the link. Fans may also catch the game on PTCI’s
DITV channel 150. The opening kick-off is scheduled for
6:00 p.m.
