Bacone Trips the Aggies, 30-0

Goodwell, Okla. - The Oklahoma Panhandle State football team traveled to Muskogee on Saturday to face Bacone and the home team picked up a 30-0 victory. The contest was a virtual dead heat for nearly the entire first half, but Bacone scored on a field goal with just under two minutes to play to put the score at 3-0 at the intermission.
The second half was nearly all Bacone, as the Warriors scored four unanswered touchdowns to end the scoring at 30-0 and take their season record to 3-5. The Aggies fell to 0-6.
Andrew McGlory was the OPSU passing leader with 12 completions in 25 tries for 92 yards. On the ground, Eric Lucero and Brandon Ridgeway each had seven carries and picked up 25 and 23 yards, respectively. Johnnie King led the Aggie receivers with eight grabs for 63 yards.
On the defensive side of the ball for OPSU, Matt Warner was in on 17 tackles and Antonio Townsend was in on nine stops. Mario Wokocha, Jeffrey Thompson and Steven McAlpine each had an interception and McAlpine’s 69-yard return after his swipe was the longest gainer of the day.
The Aggies will be back on their home field next Saturday for a contest with Western State. Kick-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. and free game tickets are available at the EPIC PCS stores in Guymon, Liberal and Elkhart
