Goodwell, Okla. - The Oklahoma Panhandle State University
men’s golf team braved the elements in a tournament
last week in Kansas and performed well. The event was hosted
by Bethany College, featured 25 teams, and was played on
courses in Salina and McPherson.
With temperatures in the 40s accompanied by winds of up
to 25 miles per hour, the Aggies finished in tenth place
in the two-day event.
Kacey Carberry was low for the Aggies with 78-73 (151),
good for 21st place and only two strokes out of 13th place.
The two day totals of 160 for both Magnus Assarsson and
Dillon Pool placed them in the top 50 finishers.
Other OPSU scores were posted by Ian McCulloch (172) and
Bowen Anderson (179).
On Saturday, the Aggies will be in Albuquerque
to compete in the Mustang Invitational hosted by Western
New Mexico University.
