OPSU Honors 13 Student Athletes

Goodwell, Okla. - Each April,
Oklahoma Panhandle State University honors one student
athlete from each athletic activity. The coaches select
honorees based on a combination of athletic performance,
scholarship, leadership and citizenship.
The overall Student Athletes of the
Year are selected from the athletes chosen in each individual
sport. The 2003-2004 Student Athletes of the Year were
Erica Brown, Women’s
Rodeo, and Derek Olson, Football. Last year’s honorees
were Laura Wilson, Women’s Basketball, and Matt Hebbert,
Men’s Rodeo.
By earning a nomination, the student
athletes competing for this year’s final awards have
demonstrated what hard work and dedication can accomplish.
