Goodwell, Okla. - This summer, youngsters will have a very good opportunity for athletic instruction at sports camps offered at Oklahoma Panhandle State University. Summer camps will be held for football, basketball and volleyball, and instruction will be provided by current OPSU coaches and student athletes.
Football – Instruction will be provided for those ages eight through incoming high school seniors. Each position will be taught and supervised by the OPSU football staff, with Mike Wyatt (head coach) in charge. The camp will cover the same fundamentals and skills taught at overnight camps, while saving on the camp fee and transportation costs. The camp will be held on June 7, 8, and 9 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm, and all instruction will be on the OPSU campus. Those wishing to enroll or gain further information should call Wyatt at (580)-349-1332 or Marc Wilson at (580)-349-1334.
Volleyball – Two separate camps will be held working on the necessary individual and team skills for competing in volleyball. Learners may elect to stay overnight in totally supervised OPSU housing or participate as commuters. The ALL-SKILLS session will accept participants from ages 12 to 18, including recently graduated seniors who have not signed with any 2 year or 4 year institutions.
