Huge Sports Weekend for OPSU Volleyball and Football Teams

Goodwell, Okla. - The Oklahoma Panhandle State football and volleyball teams will see plenty of action this weekend. The Lady Aggies will get things started at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday night with a volleyball match against Heartland Conference rival St. Mary’s in Oscar Williams Fieldhouse on the OPSU campus.

The Lady Aggies will be on their home court again on Saturday with another big Heartland Conference match with the University of the Incarnate Word at Noon. At 2:00 p.m. the College of the Southwest will go against Incarnate Word, and the Lady Aggies will be in action once again at 4:00 with a match against College of the Southwest.

The volleyball matches will be a homecoming for Valerie Armstrong, last year’s Female Student Athlete of the Year at OPSU. Armstrong is currently a graduate assistant with the College of the Southwest team as she works on her Masters Degree in Business Administration.

The OPSU football team will also be in action on Saturday, but 370 miles away in Muskogee for a 2:00 p.m. match-up with Bacone.
