Eight Second Skirmishes Set for Monday

Goodwell, OK -- On Monday, November 13, the Oklahoma Panhandle State University Rodeo Team is sponsoring a saddle bronc/bareback riding jackpot that will include 60 broncs from one of the largest professional rodeo stock contractors in the United States, Cervi Championship Rodeo Company. Some of the best collegiate cowboys in the area including OPSU favorites will try to spur their way to a big win. Anyone interested in catching rodeo excitement is encouraged to attend the free event at the Doc Gardner Memorial Arena located right off Highway 54 on the northeast side of town. The action begins at noon and will continue through about 3:30 p.m.

The Cervi company produces many of the largest and most prestigious rodeos in the country such as the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo; the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo; the National Western Stock Show & Rodeo in Denver; the New Mexico State Fair in Albuquerque; and the Star of Texas Fair & Rodeo in Austin. At last January’s National Finals Rodeo held in Las Vegas, 16 head of Cervi stock starred in rough stock events ridden by the world’s best cowboys.
