Goodwell, Okla. -- Dust off your cowboy boots and get ready for the annual “Doc” Gardner Memorial Rodeo April 3-5. Looking for some tough rodeo action along with fun, quality entertainment? Head on down to Hitch Pioneer Arena in Guymon, where you will find hundreds of cowboys and cowgirls from across the Central Plains Region ready to compete for prestigious titles.

For years, the Oklahoma Panhandle State University rodeo team has yet to fail to provide one of the top intercollegiate rodeos in the country. Students, here is your one chance to show your support for your rodeo team, and get a taste of all the excitement. Have a family? Bring everyone down for good, family fun and cheer on the Aggies. Tickets are $10 at the gate, with students, faculty and staff getting in free. So come out and support your OPSU rodeo hands as they ride, rope and race their way to making the Collegiate National Finals Rodeo in June.

Where else can you attend a college rodeo where the local talent includes regional standings like the following?

1st place men’s team 1st-6th place saddle bronc riding
2nd place women’s team 2nd place calf roping
1st place steer wrestling 2nd place goat tying
1st place All-Around cowboy AND cowgirl

College students from the Central Plains Region will pour into the panhandle and businesses around town will be thriving. The hard work of many people is required for months before the rodeo even begins. It is this dedication that enables the “Doc” Gardner Rodeo to be able to provide an outstanding rodeo. So everyone come on down and have some fun!

Performance days and times include:
Thursday, April 3 at 7 p.m.
Friday, April 4th 7 at p.m. - Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night!
Saturday April 5th performances at 1 p.m. with the Championship round at 7 p.m.
