Goodwell, Okla. - To simultaneously succeed in academics as well as college athletics takes dedication, diligence and just plain hard work. Two young people who know what it takes and HAVE WHAT IT TAKES are Connie Maas and Krystal Comeaux of the Oklahoma Panhandle State University softball team.
Comeaux and Maas were recently named All-American Scholar-Athletes by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). In order to earn this prestigious honor a student-athlete competing in softball must earn a minimum of a 3.5 grade average (on a 4.0 scale) over an entire academic year.
Comeaux, a senior outfielder from Bay City, Texas excels on the diamond as well as in the classroom as a Mathematics major.
Maas, a hardworking senior catcher from Sabetha, Kansas majors in Biology. Just to make her academic honor even more special is the fact that Maas also competes on the Lady Aggie basketball team.
Connie Maas and Krystal Comeaux have what it takes to succeed in their academic endeavors as well as in their athletic participation. Their success is sure to continue after they earn their respective college degrees.
