Lady Aggies Lose a Pair to Midwestern State

Goodwell, Okla. - The Oklahoma
Panhandle State softball team faced a tough Midwestern State
team in Wichita Falls, Texas on Monday. The Mustangs picked
up two wins over the Lady Aggies.
Midwestern State 10, Lady Aggies 2
The Mustangs scored three runs in the first inning and never
looked backed as they out slugged the Lady Aggies.
A bright spot for OPSU came in the fourth inning when senior
catcher Jennifer Costeldia slammed a two-run homer for the
Lady Aggies.
Costeldia, Krystal Comeaux, Pam Moore, and Kindall Moon each
had a hit in two trips to the plate for OPSU.

As in the first game, the Mustangs started the second with
a big first inning, scoring five runs on their way to the win.
Costeldia, who had the second-highest batting average in the
Heartland Conference at .435, smacked a triple for OPSU.
Costeldia, Comeaux, Moon, Catherine Daza, Jacqueline Cornish,
and Rachel Hughes each had one hit in three at bats for the
Lady Aggies, and Comeaux and Cornish drove in one run a piece.
The Lady Aggies fell to 0-11 on the season with the losses,
and the Mustangs are now 10-3.
