Lady Aggies Drop a Pair to
West Texas A&M

Canyon, Tex . - In a wild softball
double header that saw 37 runs cross the plate, Oklahoma Panhandle
State went up against West Texas A&M in Canyon on Wednesday.
The Lady Aggies hit the ball well, but the Lady Buffs won both
games.

In game one of the twin bill, the Lady Aggies jumped out to
a 4-0 advantage in the fourth inning but West Texas A&M
came back for a 6-4 win. The Lady Buffs scored three runs
in both the fourth and the sixth innings.
Antonia Ramirez (JR; Tombstone, AZ) and Pam Moore (SO; Ontario,
CAN) both had a pair of hits for the Lady Aggies.
Crystal Comeaux (SO; Bay City, TX) and Moore each drove in
OPSU runs.

In game two, a total of 27 runs were scored, but a ten run
fifth inning paved the way for the Lady Buffs’ ninth
win of the season.
Catherine Daza (FR; Ontario, CAN), Jacqueline Cornish (SR;
Denver, CO), Adrianne Sandall (SR; Magna, UT), and Rachel Hughes
(JR; Topeka, KS) each had two hits for OPSU. Daza scored three
times, and Cornish, twice.
Moore doubled for the Lady Aggies and Hughes smacked a solo
homer.
Though the Lady Aggies fought hard in
both games, the two losses dropped their season record to
0-17. West Texas A&M
raised their record to 9-15.
