OPSU’s Costeldia Named Conference
Player of the Week

Goodwell, Okla.- Oklahoma Panhandle
State catcher Jennifer Costeldia was red hot last week in
the six Lady Aggie games (four of them wins). For the week,
Costeldia went 12 for 18 at the plate (.667), including three
home runs, two triples and a double. She also had 16 RBIs.
For her outstanding performance, the senior from Grand Junction,
Colo. has been named the Heartland Conference Softball Player
of the Week.
An excellent student majoring in Psychology, Costeldia has
given fits to opposing pitchers all season. She leads the Lady
Aggies in batting average (.370), hits (34), doubles (6), home
runs (6), runs batted in (25) and total bases (63). In addition,
she is tied with Jackie Cornish for the team lead in triples
A popular student athlete around the
OPSU campus, known as “C.J.” to
her friends, Costeldia is also an excellent defensive catcher
with an exceptional throwing arm.
