Winn Set to Join OPSU Volleyball as Head Coach

Goodwell, Okla. - Oklahoma Panhandle State University has named J. P. Winn as the Lady Aggie volleyball coach. Winn’s appointment is pending the approval of the Board of Regents for the Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical Colleges.
Winn brings a wealth of strong coaching and leadership to the Lady Aggie program. Since 2006 he has been Volleyball Coach/Program Director for Club O.N.E Junior Olympics in Tulsa. With a two year record of 49-16, Winn led a first year team to the regional championships and that squad received a bid to play in the USA Junior National Championships. While at Club O.N.E., Winn also displayed a strong work ethic and was recognized for his fundraising, marketing, and program development work.
Prior to joining Club O.N.E., Winn was the Volleyball Coach/Athletic Fundraising Director at Trinity International University and his one year record was 28-15.
From 1999-2004, Winn served as Volleyball Coach and Teacher with Team Tulsa/WCA High School Junior Olympics where he compiled a 112-56 record.
From 1995-1998, Winn was Assistant Volleyball Coach/Director of Team Strength and Conditioning with the U.S. Army National Sports Program at Fort Benning, Georgia. During those years, the volleyball team posted a record of 45-19.
Winn is a graduate of Oklahoma State University and has done graduate work at Southern Nazarene University.
According to OPSU Director of Athletics Jerry Olson, “We are very excited to have J.P. on board. His extensive volleyball and leadership experience at several levels will be a great aid in our recruiting and our overall volleyball program.”
