NM Highlands Tops Lady Aggies in Tuesday Volleyball

Goodwell, OK – The Cowgirls of New Mexico Highlands topped Oklahoma Panhandle State 3-0 in volleyball action here on Tuesday night.

Prior to the match, Kirbi Twilligear of the Lady Aggies was honored. The Leakey, Texas native is the only senior on this year’s team and is one of the Heartland Conference leaders in defensive digs.

All of the games were well played and close, but New Mexico Highlands won all three (30-22, 30-21, and 30-22).

Krista Simpson and Lacy Jones played well for the Lady Aggies and Twilligear made the most of her final home court appearance for OPSU. The 5’4” “firecracker” made some great defensive plays, and fearlessly dove headlong for saves several times.

The Lady Aggies close their regular season this weekend, on the road against Dallas Baptist.
