Housing Rates

  • Residence Hall private room - $1800/semester
  • Residence Hall semi-private room - $1200/semester

Meal Plans

  • 5 meals/week - $864/semester
  • 10 meals/week - $1578/semester
  • 15 meals/week - $1683/semester
  • 20 meals/week - $1813/semester

In addition all residents will be charged a $53.00 per semester housing fee, except in Married Student Housing where the fee is incorporated into the monthly rent.

For the housing application to be complete, students must submit a housing application, pay the $20 application fee and pay the $200 housing deposit through the My Online Billing portal. Students must register for classes for the upcoming semester before they can be assigned a room. Room assignments for the fall semester will begin after spring break. Room assignments remain the same for both the fall and spring semesters.

Information and Requirements for Occupancy:

Single students may choose suite-style living in the student apartments that opened in August of 2004. Each suite consists of four private bedrooms, a living area, two toilets, one bathtub/shower, a separate shower and four vanity sinks.

Requirements

  1. Enrolled in 12 or more credit hours for the fall and spring semesters or three credit hours for the summer team AND be classified as a sophomore or higher.
  2. Each tenant is required to complete the check-in form each semester. Each tenant’s portion of the rent will be added to the individual's bill at the beginning of the semester. Any unpaid balance is subject to a monthly 1.5% late fee.
  3. Each tenant is individually responsible for the care and condition of the unit. Any damages to it will be split among the tenants.

Description

  • Four-bedroom suites with private bedrooms
  • Each bedroom includes: a full-size bed, a three-drawer dresser, bookshelf, a computer desk with a chair, a spacious wire shelving closet, and a storage cabinet
  • Individual vanity sinks, two toilets, a bathtub/shower and a separate shower
  • Living room plus kitchen cabinets with a kitchen sink
  • Each living room includes: a sofa, a chair, a coffee table, an end table and a kitchen table with four chairs.
  • Each suite is climate controlled
  • Free high-speed Internet access
  • Tornado shelter
  • Clubhouse with full kitchen, laundry facilities, computer lounge and community room.
  • Central gazebo with two barbecue grills
  • Located next to OPSU tennis courts and outdoor basketball court and close to the Noble Center.

Residents who fail to abide by OPSU Policies and Procedures will be contacted by either their neighborhood Residential Assistant or a representative of OPSU, depending upon the type of violation. Failure to abide by OPSU Policies and Procedures may result in service disruption, fines, sanctions, contract termination, and/or suspension from the University. The fine amount may increase for each incident.

OPSU offers two traditional dormitory buildings. Holter Hall is co-ed by wing and Field Hall is for males only. Both buildings are wired for free high-speed internet and free cable television and include on-site laundry facilities and central lobbies for socializing.

Requirements

  2. Residence hall charges are applied to the individual's bill at the beginning of the semester. Any unpaid balance is subject to a monthly 1.5% late fee.
  3. All Holter Hall and Field Hall residents are required to purchase a 10, 15 or 20 meal plan.
  4. ALL OTHER PERTINENT INFORMATION REGARDING THE RESIDENCE HALL IS LISTED ON THE BACK OF YOUR CONTRACT. PLEASE READ IT BEFORE SIGNING.

Failure to abide by OPSU Policies and Procedures may result in service disruption, fines, sanctions, contract termination, and/or suspension from the University. The fine amount may increase for each incident.

These units feature two-bedrooms, one bath, and a full kitchen and are approximately 800 square feet. The units are for married students, students with minor children living with them, students 25 years of age or older, or students who were discharged from the military.

Requirements

  1. Enrolled in 12 or more undergraduate hours for the fall and spring semesters or three credit hours for the summer term.
  2. All tenants must have completed 30 or more credit hours or receive permission from the OPSU Housing Office.
  3. Each tenant is required to sign a lease in the OPSU Housing Office each semester. Each tenant's portion of the rent will be added to the individual's bill at the beginning of the semester. Any unpaid balance is subject to a monthly 1.5% late fee.
  4. All tenants in the unit must be of the same gender.
  5. Each tenant is individually responsible for the care and condition of the unit. Any damages to it will be split among the tenants.

Description

  • Two bedrooms: one private and one semi-private (can be used as a private bedroom)
  • Full bathroom
  • Each Annex is climate controlled
  • Free wireless Internet

These two-bedroom, one-bath units are approximately 800 square feet and are for married students, students with minor children living with them, students 25 years of age or older, or students who were discharged from the military. OPSU pays for water, trash and sewer. The resident is responsible for gas and electricity.

Requirements

  1. Housing is available for:
    • married students;
    • students with full-time custody of children;
    • or non-traditional students 25 years of age or older.
  2. The leasee must be a full-time student.
  3. Rent is applied to the leasee’s bill on the first day of each month. Any unpaid balance is subject to a monthly 1.5% late fee.

  • Each unit has two bedrooms, one bath and a full kitchen
  • Kitchen is equipped with a full-size refrigerator and a gas stove and oven
  • Each unit has a wall furnace for heat
  • Tenant is responsible for gas and electricity
  • OPSU provides water, garbage and sewer service
