Job Summary:

Teaching 3-D art studio and art history related classes.

Responsibilities:

• Teach fall and spring face-to-face and online courses as needed.
• Advise students.
• Serve on University committees, and support Images Art club, organization, etc..
• Must be a contributing and functioning member of the Art department, College of Arts and Education, and OPSU, while promoting the University in the surrounding communities.
• Assist in program assessment at the departmental level.
• Help develop and execute recruiting plan for the Art Department.
• Recruit students to the College of Arts and Education by visiting schools and attending camps.
• Must have a strong work ethic and lead by example.
• Must be a professional, credible and respected representative of the institution internally and in the community
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to act ethically and socially responsible
• Must be able to lift more than 50-lb. objects; frequent bending, stooping, and walking
• Can be exposed to a variety of weather conditions for periods of time.
• Ability to communicate in a courteous manner
• Other duties as assigned by Dean, College of Arts and Education or designee.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

• Master’s degree in Art related field required to fill the position on tenure track OR Bachelor’s degree and professional experience in the field of art to fill the position as Artist in Residence (one year contract with review process after Resident year in order to extend residency Or enrollment in graduate program in order to continue on tenure track.
• Eighteen graduate hours in sculptere preferred.
