Job Summary:
Manages maintenance of student records, general advising of students for applicable plan of study, updates student data, coordinates concurrent enrollment, and other duties as assigned by the Registrar.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for maintenance of student records.
• Provides routine advice and guidance to staff, students, faculty, and members of the general public regarding the registration process.
• Provides routine advice and guidance to students regarding plans of study.
• Responsible for assistance with Beginning and End of Term processes.
• Coordinates/accomplishes graduation aspects to include:
o Maintenance of Graduation Applications in Banner
o Assistance in coordinating Commencement Ceremony
• Coordinates concurrent students through the registration process.
• Must have knowledge of the rules, regulations, and laws regarding student records.
• Ability to evaluate student transcripts and/or records.
• Works with Registrar to properly articulate transfer course to OPSU courses in SIS.
• Assists in other areas of admissions and registration.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with other departments and a diverse student population.
• Ability to communicate in a courteous manner.
• Must have a strong work ethic and lead by example.
• Must be a professional, credible and respected representative of the institution internally and in the community.
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to act ethically and socially responsible.
• Must be able to lift more than 20 pound objects; frequent bending, stooping, and walking.
• Can be exposed to a variety of weather conditions for periods of time.
• Ability to communicate in a courteous manner.
• Other duties as assigned by Registrar or designee.

Qualifications:
• Assist in other areas of admissions and registration.
• Perform other work related duties as assigned by Registrar.
• Knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to read, speak and understand English well;
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
• Associate’s Degree or higher preferred
• Experience in managing records and filing systems
• Experience in working with computers required
• Effective communication skills, written and oral
