JOB SUMMARY: Will serve as the director of the criminal justice program. Instructional will teach 12 hours per semester of criminal justice courses, classroom and/or on-line teaching, with summer teaching possible. Director/Instructor will advise, recruit and mentor for the university’s criminal justice program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directs and supervises the criminal justice program
  • Hire qualified adjunct instructors to teach courses
  • Advise, recruit and mentor university students
  • Must have a strong work ethic and lead by example.
  • Must be a professional, credible and respected representative of the
    institution internally and in the community
  • Ability to communicate in a courteous manner
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to act ethically and socially
    responsible
  • Must be able to lift more than 50-lb. objects; frequent sitting, bending, and
    walking.
  • Other duties as assigned by Dean of Liberal Arts or his/her designee.

Qualifications:

Previous collegiate teaching experience required

License/Certificate:

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Required: MA in Criminal Justice is required. Doctorate is preferred. Previous collegiate teaching experience is preferred.
