JOB SUMMARY: Teaching accounting related classes.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Teach fall and spring face-to-face and online accounting courses.
  2. Advise students.
  3. Serve on University committees, and support College of Business and Technology clubs, organizations, etc.
  4. Support and participate in academic recruiting and retention efforts.
  5. Contribute to and function within the accounting department, the School of Business and Technology, and OPSU, while promoting the University in the surrounding communities.
  6. Teach 27-30 hours per year (fall and spring semester).
  7. Assist in program assessment at the departmental level.
  8. Communicate in a courteous manner.
  9. Demonstrate willingness and ability to act ethically and socially responsibly.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned by Dean, School of Business and Technology; Dept. Chair, or his/her designee.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Master’s degree in accounting related field required; doctorate or terminal degree preferred.
  2. Eighteen graduate hours in accounting required; CPA or equivalent preferred.
