Assist the head coach with supervision and coordination of the
baseball program

Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred. Previous successful collegiate or professional coaching experience. Collegiate or professional playing experience and recruiting experience at the collegiate level.

Required: Bachelor’s degree. Previous successful collegiate or professional coaching experience.

Preferred: Master’s degree preferred.


  • Assist in development and recruitment of qualitystudent athletes including but not limited to: off-campus recruiting, evaluations, contacts, organization of on- campus visits, and tryouts.
  • Manage all facets of the program in coordination with the head coach as directed.
  • Manage workouts and practices as assigned by head coach.
  • Advise and instruct student-athletes on skill development.
  • Be an integral part of practice and game preparation.
  • Assist with coaching strategies to maintain a highly competitive program
  • Attend and instruct during all games, practices, weightlifting sessions, conditioning sessions, and individual workouts.
  • Develop and implement an academic monitoring system of all student-athletes.
  • Develop and implement a strength program.
  • Monitoring the student-athletes’ growth within the strength program.
  • Scouting of opponents and instructing team on the strategies that will be implemented.
  • Liaison for the program with the Athletic Training Staff, Admissions, fundraising, volunteer services, compliance, academics, finances, and sports information.
  • Baseball operations as directed by the head coach.
  • Assist in travel for the program.
  • Equipment and gear maintenance.
  • Advise student-athletes in their day-to-day activities and development.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with all athletic coaches and staff.
  • Maintain field and facilities.
  • Other duties assigned by the Head Coach.
  • Must have a strong work ethic and lead by example.
  • Must be a professional, credible and respected representative of the institution internally and in the community
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to act ethically and socially responsible
  • Must be able to lift more than 50-lb. objects; frequent bending, stooping, and walking.
  • Can be exposed to a variety of weather conditions for periods of time.
  • Ability to communicate in a courteous manner
  • Other duties as assigned by Vice President of Outreach or his/her designee.
