DESCRIPTIVE INFORMATION:

SGU offers four education degree programs leading to secondary certification in math, life science, English and social studies.

THEME OR SUMMATIVE PHRASE FOR CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK:

The title of the conceptual framework for SGU’s education program is the Reflective Practitioner. This term represents the foundation of the Benedictine Order in its mission of prayer and work. Reflective practitioners are professional teachers who have strong practical experience in quality schools and a thorough theoretical foundation for reflection before, during and after implementing best teaching practices.
