President Dr. Tim Faltyn

The 15th President of Oklahoma Panhandle State University, Dr Tim Faltyn has dedicated his professional life to helping people fulfill the promise of their potential. In his time at Panhandle State, the university has achieved all time highs in fundraising, led Oklahoma in graduation rate increases, been named the fastest growing university in the region, with record setting enrollment growth for the last three years and is ranked #26 by US News and World Report, Best Colleges in the Western United States Region for 2020.

A teacher by trade, Faltyn worked his way up from adjunct faculty to earn the rank of full professor. In his 25 year career in higher education he has served in every academic leadership role from Department Chair to President. Prior to his time at Panhandle State, he served as President of Connors State, VP at NEO A&M and in multiple roles at Oklahoma State University-OKC.

His educational pedigree includes degrees from Central New Mexico, University of Central Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University, as well as postdoctoral training at Harvard. He is a Carnegie United States Professor of the Year award recipient, as well as an accomplished speaker and writer.

Dr Faltyn is ranch raised, the first college graduate in his family and lives with his wife and two boys in Goodwell, Oklahoma
