School climate refers to the school's effects on students, including teaching practices; diversity; and the relationships among administrators, teachers, and students.

School culture refers to the way teachers and other staff members work together and the set of beliefs, values, and assumptions they share. A positive school climate and school culture promote students' ability to learn.

Halloween Pumpkin Trail & Contest - OCTOBER 29TH 7:00 - 9:00 PM

@ The Clock Tower

BRING YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS, WALK ALONG A LIGHTED TRAIL OF JACK-O-LANTERNS, AND VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE!

Everyone is welcome to enter. Deliver carved pumpkins to the Student Union Building between Tuesday, October 26 - Friday, October 29, from 8am to 5pm. Register your entry by emailing laura.franks@opsu.edu or call (580) 349-1531

There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place!

IN ORDER TO KEEP THE CARVED PUMPKINS FRESH THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE EVENT, WE ASK THAT THE PUMPKINS BE CARVED NO EARLIER THAN MONDAY, OCTOBER 25th. CLEAN OUT THE INSIDES OF THE PUMPKINS WELL, MAKING SURE THERE ARE NO SEEDS OR STRINGY MATERIAL LEFT INSIDE TO MOLD. TEA LIGHTS WILL BE PROVIDED.

Purpose of Climate & Culture Committee

To develop activities to promote a positive school culture and climate including brainstorming and researching potential activities and planning and organizing agreed upon activities. This committee will be dedicated to giving back to the OPSU community and helping build a campus-wide atmosphere of appreciation. The group will work to promote gratitude, appreciation, and thanksgiving for others.
